In the third quarter of 2021, the top food delivery services in the United Kingdom showed distinct trends in downloads and active user numbers, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five apps: Uber Eats: Food Delivery, Deliveroo: Food & Shopping, Just Eat - Food Delivery, Too Good To Go: End Food Waste, and getir: groceries, food&beyond.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting strong with approximately 108K downloads in late June, dipping to around 79K by the end of August, and rebounding to about 99K at the end of September. Weekly active users hovered between 3.3M and 4.2M, peaking at 4.2M in late June.

Deliveroo: Food & Shopping experienced consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 80K to 92K, with a notable increase to 96K in mid-September. The weekly active users ranged from 2.5M to 2.9M, showing a gradual increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 2.9M in late September.

Just Eat - Food Delivery maintained a relatively stable weekly download rate, starting at 87K and fluctuating around 72K to 80K throughout the quarter. The weekly active user base ranged from 1.6M to 1.9M, showing a slight decline mid-quarter but recovering to 1.8M by the end of September.
